@hh75: ...there're various network settings (like duplex mode, autonegotiatoin etc.). Try to change them and select a combination that works in your network environment...
@hectorox: ...I didn't quite understood your question. Is it about 720p resolution that your clip has (this is not supported by SMS as maximum resolution is 1024 in either direction (hardware limit)) or it's a usual clip and you're trying to play it when SMS video mode is set to 720p?...
Firstly thanks for your fantastic work.
I just tried running SMS 2.8 from my memory card, to play an AVI (Xvid) on a USB memory stick. It looks like it's working OK but the video simply does not show; the screen is blank (solid black). The sound, subtitles and OSD all work though. The same file with the same setup works perfectly with SMS 2.6.
It's not a big deal as I've switched back to 2.6, but just thought I'd let you know.
I use the SMS the same way you use, starting from MC and then plug some USB device. If there is something in the PS2 it hangs the SMS when trying to detect the USB, if not, the USB is detected.
Try with different USB drivers, some time before the forum crash, EEUG post or link to 2 different versions, but I can't remember where it is....
Thanks a M i l l i o n for F.L.A.C support ! Top bloke !
I did some very quick tests on few flac albums & they seemed to play ok. Not listened to a single track in full so not sure about the quirky repeat effect at the end of track being reported. I will do a proper listening session tomorrow & provide feedback.
It's possible to play ALL audio tracks in a folder by pressing O.
Can the same be done with movies ?
I have a load of Friends & other TV series ripped to HDD & would like to be able to play throught them automatically in sequence. If this works already - is it than possible to skip a whole movie forward/back ?
If this feature does not exist, can it please be implemented in the future.
Anyone else having problem running SMS 2.8 with SCPH-7700X from MC?
All I get is black screen after I run it
This is the only version that won't run on my PS2 MC
SMS 2.8 not playing avi XViD
SMS 2.8 not playing avi XViD –
Hi , again great great work for SMS, I love it.
But, indeed with version 2.8 the playback of XViD avi crashes (excepion handler catches a severe problem)
Can it have to do with storing playback-position on the MC?
I went back to 2.7
Strange thing... 2.8 worked fine the first time I tested it, now it freezes at "Detecting file format". Same videos work perfectly on 2.4
@gjtokkel: ...if you would post the information displayed by the exception handler then it would help resolve the problem ...

Edit: ...well, I've fixed that. Actually, I don't know when next release will happen...
