    Hi, I'm using SMS v.1.7 Rev.4 but I can't apply a skin.

I read manual, i followed the instructions but it's not working.

I will describe how I'm doing:

1.Open The image.bmp file in Pic2Smi and convert to image.smi

2.Rename to SMS.smi, then paste into SMS folder in MC.

When I run the SMS and set to 'Use background image', nothing happens.

    Some help would be appreciated.

what size of BMP are you converting? If it is really big ,try re-sizing to something like 640x480 before using pic2smi.

Try getting a fresh copy of 1.7 rev.4 from EEUG's website. Also try disabling the language file (if you are using one), saving the settings, and relaunching SMS, before applying the skin.

I exported the image and converted to SMS.smi, let me know if this fixes your problem; for my part I did test it and it worked. When I initially saved the skin to my pc-hdd in the process it seemed to corrupt the image, I had to preview then save...btw that is a vary nice skin

rathunter is right you should also try using a fresh sms binary and re-launch sms before applying the skin if you are still having trouble...

edit: I would just backup & delete the SMS folder altogether, re-launch then save before adding and applying skin.

The problem was the configs files, it was corrupted, at least I guess so.
Whatever...So I deleted and save it again, then it worked.

    The skin is awesome!

thx for helping me, Flamingo24 and Rathunter.

I'm gonna make some new skins now!

I had the same problem some time ago, the key is to delete the cfg file and then it will work. Newer version of SMS is working with .smi extension. Use pic2smi from the "official site".
