I just installed free MC boot on my ps2 slim and it works great.
    Thank you all

One question though, I want to use SMS player to play videos on it

Can I use a external hard drive to play from it?
Does it have to be formatted to FAT32?

I used my 2GB usb stick, formatted to FAT32 and can play videos from it.
However, 2GB is not large enough.

One last question, What format does SMS player plays?
    Can it handle .rmvb?

Any replies from the pros are greatly appreciated.

SMS Manual is the best source technically for usage information. As i understand it though it only plays mpeg and avi files. It can handle various audio formats (mp3, ac3, etc) and both divx and xvid video formats. I'm not sure what else though.

Oh there is always some info about using a usb external HDD in the manual too.
