There is already a thread for this here:

    http://psx-scene.com/forums/official...59457-qtv.html

I hope it's not vaporware as the the claimed video format support sounds very nice!
Just connect your MP3 player, Flash drive or other USB device to one of the USB ports on the PS2 and you can access the content directly from the TV.

Qtv supports most popular content formats and standard television resolutions for both NTSC and PAL.

    Supported Formats
Photos - JPEG, PNG, BMP, TIFF
Music - MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC
    Video - MPEG1, MPEG2, H264, DivX, WMV, MOV, MP4, XVID, FLV

I think it's vaporware. the xbox with xbox media center can't even play h.264. the ps2 has a slower processor and less ram. there isn't any way in hell it can work.

Agreed, ive seen how a PC can struggle with h.264, i cant see how the PS2 can manage it.. For a project that promises so much, this really has done nothing to prove the concept is sound or even possible..

It looks like a scam to be honest...
And why use H264, is it a file size thing or something?

(I'm using good quality DivX (1000 through 1500 kbps) in SMS via PS2 in 1080i, and everything is just peachy...)
I wouldn't mind seeing an internet TV function though...

x264 usually has better image quality than DivX/XviD at the same bitrate.

You can see the difference between the different codecs here, click on the codec links below the images to see the differences:

The image changes depending on which codecs you click on (at least it does for me using Firefox).
    So try clicking on:
    Original Source
    Then click on:
    MPEG-2 (HCEnc)
While looking at the image to see the difference.
