Problem with SMS and ARMAX
Problem with SMS and ARMAX –

Hey, I've got ARMAX evo and thought I'd just skip all the swapping and hassle and just load SMS of my pendrive and then use my LAN to play video files from my computer, however. I can't seem to get SMS to load from the ARMAX media player. Am I doing anything wrong? I tried 2 things.
1. Download standalone 1.7 (rev.4) and put that on my pendrive, booted up ARMAX and pressed play. The app did not run. and it just froze at a black screen.
2. I download the standalone 1.7 (rev.4) renamed it SMS.ELF, then BOOTc.elf and renamed it BOOT.ELF and made a config file changing the BOOT2 = cdrom0:\BOOT.ELF;1 to BOOT2 = mass0:\BOOT.ELF;1
So any ideas? What am I doing wrong here?
Edit: BTW I have a slimline ps2 v15.

if uLaunchELF starts properly from ARMAX, why don't you try using that to start SMS. Be sure that IOP Reset is ON in the configuration. For simplicity, consider trying to boot the ELF from the MC first. Also make sure MC0:/SMS configuration is not present (until you get it working).

i believe u need to name elf files 'autoexec.elf' for ar max to run them... why not use the utility to make the emulator disc and see what it calls it...?

Maybe your ELF is corrupt, download it again. Try removing your MC just before you start SMS from your USB key (using uLaunchELF).
