Hi, just want to know if SMS can play video TS over the network. One of my ps2 doesn't read disc anymore. So I'm just wondering if it can play it instead over the network through my computer DVDrom. Thanks.

In the readme for SMS it says:So I think you would need to convert your .ts files to .mpg using a free program like PVAStrumento to use them on SMS.Quote:
"Support MPEG1/2 video (program streams only)"
Also note that HD video cannot be played by SMS (1280x720 or 1920x1080) but SD (720x480/576) should be fine.
I think you must have misunderstood the question. He probably did not mean ".ts files", but rather the "VIDEO_TS" folder of a normal DVD-Video movie.
And for that the answer is rather that SMS can play separate VOB files (in recent version of SMS), but does not 'understand' DVD-Video file structure as a whole. Thus it can only be used to play some VOBs manually selected by the user. But it is up to that user to choose the correct files and to play them in correct order, and also to avoid trying to play the DVD menu files which can crash SMS.
The resolutions are still restricted as you said.

@dlanor. Now I've read the question properly I see what you mean.
In that case I'd recommend using DVDDecrypter to save the just the main movie as a single .VOB file on a harddrive. Then the movie can be played in SMS without crashing and without the 'jump' between .vob files you get from playing them off the DVD.
