What do you mean? you want to put an elf on your memcard or boot an elf from the memcard? If you want to put an elf on your memcard then, Boot ULaunchElf from a cd, now browse to your memcard and select the 2 dots that are at the top of the the list, now hit R1 to bring up a menu, select create folder, choose name for your folder and enter...Now the folder will be created... Now for copying the elf.. Browse to your CD and select the elf that you want to copy, Hit R1 and select 'copy'... now again browse to you memcard and open the folder you just created..again hit R1 and select 'paste'.. it may take some time to copy and after that you'll be able to see you r elf there in the folder...how to get a homebrew app onto my memory card
Note: Name the folder you created - BOOT (without the hyphen) .... this way you can use it with the elf i have discussed below and also with your chip...
1. you can use the independence exploit to put your elfs on the memcard and boot them with a original PS1 disc...im not really getting how to get a homebrew app onto my memory card
Independence Exploit (Exploit Tutorial for the Total N00B! v1.3)
download the file called "File Type: txt Exploit_Tutorial_By_Dv8_v2.1.txt (27.9 KB, 5697 views)"
2. Search for a file called LOADER.RAR here on the forums... download it... now create a folder called 'BOOT' (case sensitive) with UlaunchElf running from a CD(hope you know how to do that!)... now transfer watever elf you want from the cd to this folder but make sure that the ELF is named 'BOOT.ELF' (case sensitive).... now burn the LOADER.RAR to a disc and boot it on the PS2.. when the disc boots, it loads watever elf you have in the BOOT folder...
I think MOdbo 745 supports Dev1 and Dev2 modes.. so instead of following the above methods, Directly access your boot manager and install the elf on your memory card! Then you can configure your chip to use Dev1 mode and the next time your ps2 boots, it'll boot the elf you installed in your Memcard...I have a modbo 745 chip inside my ps2
Hope that clears your doubts...
