Hi, first of all, SMS is a GREAT program and really makes owning a ps2 a much better thing.

ok anyway, I have two questions:

    1. my internet connection is not the fastest, so streaming movies to play on the ps2 through sms is very jerky and slow. my question is, is there anyway to pause the currently playing movie, and allow it to continue "buffering" the rest of the movie while it is paused?

for example, is it possible to pause a movie that is skipping due to slow network connection, and then come back and unpause the movie (about 10 minutes later) and have the movie play fine with no stuttering issues?

    2. Is there a play all button?

for example, can i open up a folder containing a full cd of mp3s and press a button, and SMS will play all of them automatically, without me having to launch each song individually?

No you can't buffer the video that way simply because the PS2 only has 24mb (I think) of RAM, so therefore there is nowhere to buffer the whole movie. BTW, why are you streaming over the internet to SMS rather than on a LAN, surely that'd be much quicker?

Why not use a dedicated SMS-partition to pre-buffer movies?

thanks for the information guys, and cyrbanen, do you mean just upload the whole movie to my ps2 hard drive, and then watch it? because if yes, i can do that, it would just be wayyy more convenient to "play on the fly"
