Network playback problem
Can't seems to make SMS play over network. Configured it for SMB, then when i try to open network tab it just shows neverending "Reading media...". Configured ps2client and RadHost clients, it shows configured network shares in network tab, but when i try to open them it shows the same "Reading media...". The PC is Win98SE. Ping packets up to 1472 bytes go OK. I'm good at networks and this problem got me. One strange fact though: when i browsed mc through uLE FTP server, it didn't show full directory listing but maybe half of what's on mc. Maybe there's something wrong with PS2 Network adapter?
If anyone interested i partly solved the problem. Now running with FMCB 1.8 (was running 1.7 at the time of writing). Maybe FMCB IS the cause of the problem (i'm yet to try without it).
Now i can play over network by ps2client/radhostclient but not by SMB. I've noticed that running Microsoft Network (SMB) protocols on PC are bogging down ps2client/radhostclient communication, so i took them out and now all run smooth.
Your real problem is that the PC OS you are running is ten years old, and quite obsolete by modern standards. Microsoft has altered the file sharing protocols from time to time, and we do not have access to all information on how to share files between different versions of these protocols. So don't expect SMS to work well using samba to access a Win98 PC ever, or one using WinVista for quite a while...
It works perfectly with Win2K and WinXP, which is all we can expect really.

Thanks for your answers dlanor.
So... i installed 2000. And i should say it's way better than 95/98 on any hardware.
Anyway, now SMS SMB is working fine, except one thing - when i share DVDs on PC, SMS can only read it's root directory listing (only once - can't reload), but not read files or open folders. Can someone confirm this?
