MPEG-2 Streaming Issue
MPEG-2 Streaming Issue –
05-16-2008,05:14 AM
Hi,
I have a Windows PC with ps2client running and a TV-Tuner card which is recording in mpg format.
If a recording is currently running, SMS shows the mpg file - but only until the time I started playing. Ok, even I don't understand this sentence, time for an example:
Recording starts at 8:00. On 8:15 I start watching the record with SMS from the beginning, Tuner card still records. On 8:30 SMS stops playing, although the mpg file has another 15 minutes at this time, because Tuner card is still recording. So I have to start the mpg again, fast forward 15 minutes, then I can watch the next 15 minutes, then SMS stops again and so on...
What is the cause for that? SMS related or MPEG related? Is it really necessary to determine the length of the mpeg when opening it - and then playing exactly this length, or is it possible (this would be a new feature request!) just to play until "end of file" ?

...this is SMS related. The file size is detemined upon opening and it is not updated...

Oohh, may I put this on the wishlist then... This would be really a "makes my girl happy" feature...
