loading avi videos from sms 2.9 rev 4

my sms is giving me problems when im trying to load long avi files from my usb flash drive, the audio usually delay in the video and it isnt accurate with the video motion, is there any audio file format better for solving this issue, any configuration that i have to make on the sms. thanks

press circle button to change offset, then l1 or r1 to sync

Thanks man that was useful, but fixing the audio that way is too hard to me, so i checked up the advance settings and saw some sync options there, i wonder if changing any of these can help me set the audio correctly.
