okay first of all i have swap magic v3.6 with the slim ps2...my goal is to get sms running off USB flashdrive or of my memory card (64 mb ) Now i downloaded the image found here:
    http://sms.psx-scene.com/eng/cdimage.htm (clicked NTSC)
Burned it and it booted fine, i even tried playing an XviD...seems to be working fine. the problem is that CD swapping is annoying. First i have to put in the swap magic, then sms, then my media/movie/mp3...so that sux...is there a way i could copy uLaunchELF (i think that's what it's called) to a usb stick or my memory card so i could boot at startup or from the BiOS ...i hope you understood what i meant.
    Ty in advance.

Use uLaunchELF to copy whatever elf you like to MC0:/SWAPMAGIC/SMBOOT0.ELF
Then it can be triggered directly by UP+L1 when swapmagic loads. Note that you can't rename files on the memory card, so you'll to burn SMBOOT0.ELF on a fresh disk or use a USB drive.

i'd get a modchip any day to replace the crappy swapping...the problem is that i have never soldered anything before in my whole life, i don't even have a soldering iron...i've seen my brother do it, when i was little, to connect 2 alumunium things, but it was crappy soldering, he wouldn't be able to do it either....that's about it...so basically...so is there any solderless modchips, like connect wires or something ? or a usb modchip ? smthg?

    http://www.modchip.com/ps2/dms4eziorder.htm

From what i heard there crap though, i cant really judge do to the face that i never tried them, but ive heard good/bad about DMS4.

Another option would let a professional do it such as:
