First of all what modchip do you have ? If its a Modbo 3.0 then it should work no probs. If its an original Matrix Infinity then there are mixed reports so you might have to solder it back. Or like l_oliveira said, add a 10k resistor or something. But I cant vouch for that.

And most of all dont touch it if you dont have the skills to solder it back.

A pic or guide isnt really necessary as there is only one wire that is conected to the RESET/Power section of the PS2.

BTW i have only tested this on fat ps2s, dont know if it works with the slimlines.
And DONT try it on a ModBo v1.1 cos it doesnt work. Dunno about Modbo 2.0 someone should report on that. But I dont think there was ever a ModBo 2.0, it was a clone of another Modbo. A clone of a clone of a chip to play backups.. lol

Is there a workaround for using SMS with FMCB ?

I'm referring to the "Illegal Disk" error . I have a 70004 console modded with Myth chip . I also installed FMCB and SMS . I tried both CD's and DVD's containing divx video files . When i disable the chip and so i have only the softmod i get "Illegal Disk" for every single one . When i leave the chip on, they boot fine . I use 2.9 rev 3

Use the fake DVD-Video method. No way to get an unmodded/disabled PS2 to read a data DVD otherwise

I found the tutorial , but the link with the DVD dummy files is dead . Can anyone post the files here ?

I was wondering something about this.Since the ESR patcher makes the disk to look like DVD-Video and the PS2 thinks that you placed DVD-Video disk,will this method will work(rather than creating disk using that tutorial for dummy dvd)

That would be a more complicated process , first save the files as iso on hdd , patch it , then burn to disc . So 3 steps instead of one .

I'm just curious if it will work,not that I'm suggestion this as a method.
For me SMS is working perfectly file,I can swich as much as I want disks and they always work(my modchip is turned off ONLY after I'm boot PS2 game)
