Help! SMS does not recognize IPOD VIDEO 80gb –
Hello, thank you very much for your attention, I'm new here.
Well, my question is this;
I have an Ipod video 80GB 5 th generation, and I want use it as a flash drive, save avi `s, dvix, mp3, etc.. and play on my PS2 with SMS.
Now the problem is this, I use the
Ulaunchelf 4.42, and if I recognize the ipod (I can launch the sms from the ipod and see all the files you have), but when you open the sms and go to my ipod (pendrive) acknowledges, but does not show files, ie, as if my ipod was empty.
I wonder if you can help me.
What should I do?
In what way should I format my ipod sms Acknowledge?
PD: I used iTunes and I have given my ipod "use as disk", so my PC if it recognizes the ipod as pendrive, but sms ps2 will not let me see any files.
HELP ME PLEASE.
Did you try booting your iPod into disk mode, resetting the iPod by pressing menu+select then holding play+select until it goes into disc mode?
Oh, yes. I tried, but the sms telling me when I try to enable support for HDD; "error press cross to continue".
why have this happen? Because my PS2 and the sms, do not can activate the support for the hard drive?.
In what way should I format my iPod for the can see my archives in sms?
Are you using the newest version of SMS, version 2.9 R4? What about enabling disk usage for your iPod in iTunes? If you are then I would try some other media player apps before doing anything you might regret with your hardware, you can find some at sksapps,com (replace the , with a .). My last suggestion would be to either connect SMS to your computer and stream media over the network (it's really annoying to get it working), or just go out and find a flash drive.
uLE has newer USB drivers , the SMS drivers for USB are much older and less compatible.......

I had problems getting a USB hard drive to work with SMS. It would see it, but not see any files on it. I had to put older USBD.IRX and USBM.IRX files in the SMS folder on my memory card to get it to work. I think I got those from either the SMS homepage or from this site, I don't remember.
