Help to get remote on v3 working correctly

I have a original sony remote but it did not come with a disk, when i use it with sms it act's more like a controll pad (x to enter) rather than the enter button, the play, rew, ff dont seem to work only the arows and the x,O, sq, Tr.
Any help would be appriciated

what is the rom1:RMMAN2 module ?

I think this is how it supose to act. To replace the controller. The functions you mentioned are for the native DVD Player...

@dark-angel: ...rom1:RMMAN2 is for remote with built-in IR sensor. It's useless for V3 (I also have V3). Try to search INet for BIOS with rom1:RMMAN, extract it, rename it to RMMAN.IRX and place it to mc0:/SMS. Then plug IR sensor into controller port 2, activate remote control in SMS menu -> Device settings and it should work. At least it works here

thanks EEUG i have a the ps2 bios (rom.bin) i can open it in texpad and can see a reffrence to RMMAN. now how do i extract this file

I have a V3 Ps2, i have 2 Ps2 remotes, 1 is the official sony remote (SCPH-10150) and a generic branded ps2 remote.

Both have the IR controller device. But neither work.

I have tried many different RMMAN modules from various bioses and NONE work. I really dont know whats up with it.

Have you tryed them on the dvd side of the ps2 do they work there ?
what version of sms are you running ?

i have offical sony ps2 remote and it worked with sms 1.7 rev 4 but now it doesn't work with 1.8 anymore, my spec are on my sig. is there any reason why that happened?
