    NERO 6 isn't playing nice.

I'm trying to create a DVD full of AVI files, but anytime I attempt to add the data files, it gives me an error saying the filetypes are invalid.

Any suggestions? I'm open to tips using other burning programs as well.

(Nero Version ID: 6.6.1.4 Express Edition)

Hmm.... I was trying to avoid burning as a Data DVD, 'cause I thought there might be some mysterious bit of information left out of the burning process that would make the PS2 puke on the disc.

So it just has to have those folders and files, eh?

A data DVD works fine with a modchip. If you don't have a modchip, check out this page from the manual (also available in french, dutch, and portuguese if english isn't native to you):

Ah yes... I have no modchip.

As far as I know, that FAQ was written using Nero 5. Heh. Trust me, guys... I do my homework before posting to message boards.

Dont put the avi files into the Video_TS or Audio_TS folders, as they're reserved for dvd-video. instead, just dump the files onto the disc or in your own folder. nero will let you do that. if it doesn't, perhaps you're using nero express instead of the full version?

Edit: and i think i used Nero 6 for that tutorial.

Ah. That's it exactly. Wasn't sure if Nero Express could just be forced into doing what it's supposed to or not.

I'll go hunt down a full version or try that IMGburn mentioned earlier.
