  1. #1 Question External USB HDD format?

Noob here...I finally got SMS 1.6 to recognise my external USB 160GB HDD but now I cannot browse through the HDD...it shows absolutely nothing when selecting the USB icon in SMS.

Do I need to create x*128MB DMS partitions on the HDD first and if so, would I be able to move my .AVIs to these newly created DMS partitions through my PC?

    Great program, thnx guys!

U don't need to create partitions in your USB HDD using DMS Format Tool, that only applies to internal HDD. Your UDB HDD is probably fomated using NTFS filesystem, which is not supported by SMS. U'll have to format it using the FAT32/FAT filesystem.
This option may not be available in the Windows Fomat Dialog, so maybe u'll have to use another method. I formated mine using a tool that was release with USBExtreme/USBAdvance: http://www.hdadvance.com/download/ .
