PLz guys I download the aXXo releases via torrent but i`m using a 512 mb flash memory to play my movies, so i need to shrink the movie and make it subbed because SMS doesn`t support my subtitles language, i know how to encode an avi but whenever I encode a 23,976 avi, it plays slowly on SMS, and when I try to Change the FPS the movie loses the audio & video sync. i use virualdub so could u plz help me?

I think your problem is that you attempt to convert just the video stream, leaving the audio setting at its default of "Direct Stream Copy", such as you normally would when not altering frame rate. This might work for some CBR encodings, but will usually fail (losing sync) for any VBR encoding.
You need to set the audio to "Full Processing Mode", and then specify some compression type. This should always be based on the same sample-rate as the original sound (unless you want to convert that too), but for best sync you should also make sure to select a CBR mode. If using the LAME MP3 encoder I suggest using 128kbps CBR.
