I have a divx5.2.1 video, SMS cannot read this video but i remeber someone saying that we can change the header so that SMS believes that it's an old divx.
    Is it possible?

@rainrix: ...is resolution of your movie 1280x720 ? I think there's just out-of-memory crash, though without a sample it's difficult to judge...

Okay, here is a sample but i thought this resolution was accepted since i already played videos with this same size except the codec was Xvid.

Rapidshare said their hard drives are full LMAO.

@rainrix: ...there're indeed just colored stripes on the screen . The funny thing is that I cant' use my "PC/Debug" version to see what's going on, since my monitor (15'' TFT) doesn't support such a big resolution, so currently there won't be a fix/research for that, though later I'll try to come back to it.
One question: did you try any clip with the same DivX version and lower resolution, and if that one won't work also, then I'd really like to have the clip, so, I can debug it on PC. Thank you...

Edit: I've just consulted PS2 docs. They say that maximum texture width/height is 1024, so, it's just a hardware limits. Maybe in such a case only "center" part of the picture should be displayed?

Thanks, so the resolution is too big for the PS2, the highest resolution of the movies i played on SMS were 848x480 Xvid.
I also have another Divx5 video 704x396, i'll try it and report if it's working but i guess it should ok since it's inferior to the hardware limit that you stated.

@rainrix: ...well, the actual limitation is that neither width nor height must exceed 1024, so, for example 1024x1024 movie should work (if it won't crash because of memory limits)...
