  1. #1 changing cd?
    Airwave Guest
    Hello,
I burnt the CD Image with SMS to a CD.
When it all had booted i changed the CD.
The CD was an ISO with only one avi.
The SMS told me "illigal disc"
    What is wrong?

"illigal disc" disc usaully means that the PS2 did not succeed to read the disc TOC.

Try to eject and close the tray, or
Try to burn SMS with the avi files on the same disc, or
Try to to burn on a DVD-R (or DVD+RW if your ps2 can read it).

I use those nero settings to burn -
CD burn better be in ISO mode2.
DVD burn better be in ISO 9666(with Joliet) + UDF 1.02 (Physical partition).

    That was to be expected.

Did You try to eject and close the tray and/or burn on a DVD-R/DVD+RW?

Did you tried my suggested settings?

what sort of modchip do you have? maybe it's in some kind of stealth mode (disables itself after loading the first CD)?

maybe try the 'cd/dvd FAQ' page on the official site... even though it says not reccommended for modchip users, it cant hurt to try.

It looks like a clone. And it seems that it can only read a burned cd/dvd after you have presses reset once. So if I read it correctly, it means your ****ed since you can't press reset without resetting the console.

QOUTE: Autoboot on all consoles v1-v14, just insert any PS2/PS1 disc / DVDvideo and press RESET! No procedures! (http://d-vices.com/subzero/subzero2.php)

AIRWAVE, after you haved booted SMS, the disc you can change has to be a normal data disc rather than an ISO. It means, you don't have to burn your AVI files into ISO. Normal data burning is OK.

Yes, I can confirm this worked for me on my Crystal Chip! I didn't burn an original data disc but when burning that normal data disc with the AVI files only then all worked well. Of course, you have to be already booted into SMS from MC or another disc with SMS & then swap with the data disc of your AVI/MP3 files. Thanks!
