Heyaz peeps!, its been awhile since my last post.. i think a year ago.. lol

Anywayz, i juz bought this Kingmax 4GB usbdrive, it seems it doesn't work above SMS v1.7...

For example i use SMS v2.8 r5, it can detect there a usbdrive, but it shows nothing there.. no files displayed...

Wherelse when i use SMS v1.7 r2, it works!... it shows my new usbdrive, and displays all my files.. and i can play videos on it..

    Any ideas guys?...

Thanks in advanced for those who replied.

    (FYI: im using PStwo slimline).

    Cheers

I had the same problem with my 8 gb kingston datatraveler. But after i used a driver pack i found somewhere on the internet sms and ule works with it. Put the USBD.IRX and USBM.IRX on the sms folder on your memorycard. If the sms folder doesnt exist, you will need to go to the sms menu and save setting for it to be created.

Hi there, thx for the reply.

Does it works if i put those files in the sms cd boot as i normally use that to startup my sms w/o my memorycard.

    Cheers @

It doesnt matter from where you boot SMS it matters is the files are in the SMS folder in the first memorycard. I dont think SMS can load its settings from anywhere else. Maybe if SMS can be patched to replace its embedded usb driver with that one and i dont know how to do this.

I'm having a similar problem, Swap Magic will read my USB, but i cant get the newest ver. of SMS working with ANY media except a DVD but, what the point of that. Ive been reading what format the AVI needs to be in but wouldn't it detect an AVI even if it couldn't play it? I use McBoot to load SMS and ive tried loading it with uLaunch, right off my USB, and the program comes up but always says waiting for media. Ill get that file but that sounds like ill need to make a cd, but if that doesn't work im going to try 1.7 like suggested above. If it works, i dont care what ver. it is.

Edit* i didnt have Autostart USB checked in settings, its working fine now.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!!!
I have a PNY Attache 8GB and SMS would not recognise the video's on it.
Now I tried it with your files in the SMS folder and it's working!
I bought the Pen Drive just for this purpose, and even though it was only $25 I thought it was spent for nothing.
    Thank you very much!
