Cannot Change Network Protocol

I decided to use Samba in streaming media from the PC to the PS2. I tried following the instructions found in SMS' website however I cannot change the network protocol to Samba. Nothing's changing whatever buttons I use. I've renamed the SMS.smb to sms.smb but it still doesn't work. I didn't save the Samba file with txt extension. I transferred the file using FTP and USB but none work. Anyone can help?

outra coisa, o correto - SMS.smb
Errado - sms.smb.
verifique se o nome do computador tem muitos caracteres.[/lang]

First of all,...
Have you auto-start enabled for Network?

If the answer is 'yes':
-disable autostart network
-restart SMS
-change PS2DEV to Samba
-if you want to have network auto-started, you can enable it again after switching to Samba...

Note: If you have multiple servers listed in your SMS.smb, you need to choose the server you're commonly using...

The guide mentioned that and I did. It still doesn't work. I only have one server in my SMS.smb file. I'm thinking of deleting the settings in the memory card and try it again.
