Can I use the two usb connections
Can I use the two usb connections –
Hi. first of all CONGRATULATIONS because this player is amazing!!!
Secondly, i wanna know if there is any posibility of using the two usb connections of my pstwo. I am able to load for example movies from the usb drive 1 but second usb doesn't work.
is it posible to make it work? and if it isn't, will be possible in any future version???
This limitation is not really due to SMS, but due to the fact that current homebrew drivers for USB mass storage only define a single device. In order to change that, the drivers must first be changed to accomodate more than one mass storage device.

But even today you can use both USB connectors, as long as only one of the connected units is a storage device. I am myself using both connectors continuously. The first connector is used for my USB HDD, while the second one is used for a simple USB HUB, so I can also have a USB keyboard and a USB mouse connected at the same time. Yep, that's effectively 3 USB units in simultaneous use! , or even 4 if you want to count the hub itself (it does have built-in RS-232 and parallel printer ports too, but I have no drivers for those). Since the hub has one more USB connector I could probably go for one more unit, except that I don't know any I can use. (Eye-Toy maybe ?)
Of course not many programs use all of those units, but the mouse is ideal for the game "Dirge of Cerberus" (it's much easier to aim Vincent's gun with a mouse than using a gamepad), while the keyboard is supported both by uLE (both for commands and its TextEditor) and by CodeBreaker (so I don't have to enter cheat code definitions by gamepad).
Be warned though... I also tried connecting a USB storage unit through my hub and that did not turn out well. Files stored through this connection were corrupted, so I can NOT advise using a hub for storage units. (At least not with current drivers.)
