Bottom of screen messed up w/avi? –
Hi, first off thanks for a great program, working really well, and makes for a nicer (and quieter) media player than my old pc...
Only issue is that while avi's are playing well, without any freezing or skipping via a 2gb kingston usb stick, theres a weird effect at the bottom of the screen. A stretched, compressed copy of whats playing underneath the main video (about or just below where subtitles would be).
I've tried a couple of vids and all the same. It actually doesnt touch the main video playingh above it, and you forget about it after a while, though it would be cool to get rid of.
Is it worth trying previous SMS versions? Try out subtitles file, on/off?
I have a pal fat ps2, independance exploit, with a component cable to an HD Philips tv, running SMS 2.8.6.
Any help would be great. Thanks again,
Try the sync options under the advanced options inside video options when you press start on the file browser, if i don't remember wrong the first one is for video playback, try setting it on auto and test your videos, if that doesn't work try different values...
Thanks D1abo, I will try that tonight. I had a quick go with 2.8.0 and it seemed to sort it out. Though I assume it would be better to try to get the latest version working, as that would be more stable overall anyway, right?
update - sync option worked great, was on 1080i, now on dvt(?) perfect.
