Booting up SMS Player from DVD...
Hello everyone.
I've been having issues booting up SMS Player from DVD... that's when I started exploring the net with Google, and downloading all kinds of bootable DVD images and stuff. I did successfully boot SMS eventually, but that's an old version of it (1.9 Rev 2), because there was already an image for it, and I burnt it.
Now, what I used to do is simply make a new UDF/ISO hybrid DVD with Nero Burning ROM and it'd work. Tell me if this should work;
- Using Nero Burning ROM I choose to make a new DVD UDF/ISO project.
- Then I drag & drop the following files; SYSTEM.CNF, and BOOT.ELF (SMS).
- SYSTEM.CNF contents are;
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\BOOT.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = PAL
- Then I just create new folders for the movies I'd like to burn, and get it kicking.
Should this work? Can I add "/NTSC" in "VMODE"? Because I have a small 4" LCD screen for my PS2, and it only supports NTSC.
Also, another question... how do I copy SMS to my Memory Card? I've got two, one of them is 64MB. Let me tell you what I did try... I downloaded an already bootable image of uLaunchELF with SMS on it, burnt it, booted it, copied SMS to mc0 root directory, and it didn't work. I ready somewhere I should hold down "R1", but that didn't work. Should the SMS file be named "BOOT.ELF", or "SMS.ELF"? Should I copy the file to the "SMS" folder created already beforehand by the little program? And if I did it right, what should I press in order to get it running?
Thanks in advance!
