Yes everyone is, as far as i know (and if you did a search you'd see), every thread on here about vista sharing says that the authenication method has changed as is no longer compatible with the older xp version that SMS uses, if EEUG doesnt update the code, then its unlikely that vista will be able to share with sms..

That is the correct behavior. Those menu items were removed from argon some time ago. 'Edit settings' is the only thing you should see.

If you are using your PS2 with component cables and an HDTV then I suggest you would be better off using the latest version of SMS which can use 720p HD display mode, that will look MUCH better than the SD modes in Argon (if you are watching good quality encodes).

Personally I only use Argon for Internet Radio, which it does pretty well.

Vista shares work for me with Argon but not with SMS, if I share the folder for everyone.
You still need to set a username and password in Argon setup, but it does not matter what it is set to.

    Hope this helps..

I think you'll find thats cos you're sidestepping the "authentication part" and connecting with the equivelent of a fully unlocked guest account to your PC..

Not something i'd do personally, but people do want to use vista for some reason!!

Argon uses Samba shares, there“s no ftp server or client builded in.

Share your folder on the PC an put a account login and the path to you shared folders in the .xml and the media Files should appear in the xmb.

I changed the video_mode statement in the xmb.xml file from PAL to NTSC and this allowed me to see stationary menus on an NTSC TV. Everything seems to work well apart form when I try and play a divx/xvid movie and I get the rolling screen effect which suggests PAL trying to be played on NTSC. Any suggestions on how to rectify this?
