    Tested this program (PAL version) on my NTSC V7 with a Matrix Infinity with forced NTSC on and it boots up the program fine, although I don't know if my Network is working with it and it seems not to boot from a folder on my HDD, only successfully booted from usb and MC. Is there a way to boot from HDD? Also adding that smoke background that the ps3 has would be awesome! Keep up the good work guys

    @ gamecubesux: it clearly says earlier in the thread that it can and will not boot from hdd

    @developer: is this still a work in progress or is it dead!? this is a very interesting project and itd be a shame if it wasnt fully developed

    Cheers

    Does anyone want to continue the project? At least for some time.
    I haven't had a single opportunity to work on it since september and it's likely that I wouldn't have any until january.
    Only general C/C++ knowledge is required. And I'll explain the code and give all the needed help.
    In fact, contrary to popular belief, there is nothing difficult about PS2 programming. The only problems I've met are the lack of documentation and a debugger, so it's quite time consuming.

    Why not just post the source?

    Because it would be very nice to know the maintainer of the project... Posting the source doesn't do anything. Some people may or may not play with this but it may lead to chaos... Knowing who is who, letting one person synchronize everything and decide on the official course would be the best for this project (I didn't see it, I didn't even read all posts in this thread... it's just a general opinion). It's also that he probalby wants to leave it in good hands, to not let the project die...
    Or am I wrong...?

    best regards,
    ffgriever

    True, but just posting the source wont hurt. If someone wants to pick it up they can and if no one does at least we have the source to muck about with.

    Seems like win-win to me.

    I'd like to play with the source, but I'm in no way qualified to maintain a project of this sort.

    I have nothing to add to ffgriever's words...
    But I can send the source, on a private basis, to anyone. Just keep it private and promise to not bastardize it.

    Does anyone have Linux? I'm stuck with adding the SMB support cause that requires recompiling PS2Dev with some additions http://ntba2.de/?p=libsmb.
    I can devote 15-20 minutes per day to the project. But the idea of installing Linux, messing with that, then messing with GCC and finally trying to compile PS2Dev has been turning me off completely.
    So, can anyone help me with that?

    Btw, here is the last version (untested) with working video playback (it simply uses the SMS config file to initialize the SMS part, so it may not work with the new SMS version).

    Argon 0.2.3
    http://rapidshare.com/files/803012/Argon_0.2.3.zip.html

    - Movies - working (not much tested and don't press START ? it'll hang);
    - Music ? hangs (after showing the SMS GUI);
    - Weather - added support for different weather maps (there is a sample in Argon.xml);
    - Photos - can't remember;
    - Still no NTSC (and that setting in Argon.xml isn't working yet).
