Argon (SMS-based player with XMB GUI)

really great hope and pray that you work at this very nice GUI.
Photos works fine for me no crashes.
Movies and more testing i do it later......

hey UPLOAD the hole pack not just UPDAT upload the hole pack its my first and tell me how to configer network and make a backround image.

i don't understand how i run this program!!i ,i don't find the READ ME.txt file in the last update(Argon_0.2.3.zip)..i want to know to run this program in the my pstwo+mod745 and usb pen(1gb)...please answer me or link me a tutorials!!!

you run it just like any other app. use ulauncherelf to do that.

- stop goping and praying;
- spread the word ? maybe your friend's friend's friend is a programmer and he'll get interested;
- if you have Linux and/or lots of free time ? recompile PS2Dev to add SMB support (it's explained here http://ntba2.de/?p=libsmb and no programming skills are required for that) and send that to me, although you'd better contact me beforehand.

Those who are seeking help ? read the 1st post, edit the Argon.xml, launch the Argon.elf.

Btw., has anyone got video playback working?

1.)Manage to run Argon 0.2.3 at first try using usb hdd.A big improvement over the previous release ..everything seem smoother.
i.)video playback ok,was able to press Start and press triangle movie will
resume.Program able to list movie on the usb hdd.
(Perhaps an update on the new SMS core)

ii)Problem:same with previous release,able to run argon.elf at first time very fast, later after restarting ps2 and try to relaunch the program the second time it just run.....my usb led start to blink and then become static....I have to extract again the elf in order to get it run the second time.......
It this the same problem with myps2?Cause the program just won't run from hdd or usb,need to be launch from memory card.
:chinscrat perhaps running the first time corrupt argon.elf,
or the program drop certain config file that mess it up?

iii)Is there any plans to upload the source to Ps2dev?
I'm intrested in the sourcecode...sucessfully setup ps2dev enviroment already...

hey!!!i'm succeed to boot the homebrew!!!but i don't succeed to run my photo and my music&video file!i've edit Argon.xml file, but nothing!what is the root for the media file whitout edit the argon.xml?

In the 1st post

- a small present for our american friends ? NTSC support (the screen ratio is wrong, but at least it wouldn't roll),
- removed that ugly text string on video playback.

It hangs somewhere in or around the fioDread() call (maybe a bug in PS2Dev), just relaunch it. I only had it a couple of times, so if you are interested and you can recreate that easily, I can send you a version that outputs debugging info to localize the problem.

And there are no default paths.
