Argon ISO
Hi,
I would like to create an ISO image of a DVD to run Argon on my PS2.
Background:
I have an unmodded "fat" PS2 with a hard drive and HDAdvance.
I was able to download the SMS ISO image to my PC and use the HDdump application (HDL_DUMB) to transfer the ISO to the PS2 HDD.
I was then able to run SMS application on my PS2
Wish:
I would like to create an ISO image with Argon but I am unsure about several of the parameters.
-Creation of the ISO image. I used the Roxio Creator Basic to create the DVD .ISO file.
Question 1: Can I just create a DVD ISO image with no special parameters? (i.e. the DISK does not need to be marked 'bootable')
-I modified the file: system.cnf to have:
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\xmb.ELF;1
VER = 1.00
VMODE = PAL/NTSC
to boot Argon.
Question 2: Is that correct?
-I left the line in the file xml.xml to still have:
<ule_path>mc0:/BOOT/BOOT.ELF</ule_path>
Question 3: What would happen if I changed it to:
<ule_path>cdrom0:\xml.elf</ule_path>
-When copying the ISO file to the PS2 using "HDL_DUMB" a startup file was expected. I entered "XMB.ELF" was that was the only .elf file in the image. Is that correct?
Thanks in advance,
Shane

Bootable image must be unmarked in burning program.
What kind of "special parameters" You mean?
Decide: PAL or NTSC. In this case PS2 choose PAL (but it's inessential).
