Just had a couple questions. What do you use for stripping the wires? I've seen some heated wire strippers before, with two wires in a V shape, and you put the wire in between and it melts off the plastic, anyone know of anything like this and where I could buy one? Or maybe a decent stripper that holds the wire and strips all in one.
Also, could bad wires (perhaps bad due to being mashed up by pliers) cause the laser to have to work harder to read the disc? I would imagine this would be yes, but just wanted to make sure and maybe here of others experiences and how they fixed it. The easiest way would be to replace the wires, which is probably what I'll do, but I'm wondering (back to the other question) what is the best way to hold/strip the wires.
I've been looking at a stripper like this (below) but I'm wondering if the clamp would damage the wire.
Also just found this while searching around google
That's what I was talking about up above, a thermal stripper, anyone know where I could get one of these?
