    Hello,

I have bought lots of lasers for the V3-V10

On the box there is PS-400W, but on the laser themself there is a sticker with PS-400Q.

I have installed the laser in the V9 of which I also have installed a new LA6508 with Romeo mod (moved from 12V -> 5V).

The first 2 weeks the ps2 worked fine, after the 2 weeks it did not work very good anymore. There was also an unknown modchip in the V9.

    My question:

1a) Has somebody experience with those lasers ?
    b) If yes, what kind of experience did you have ?

    2) Is it necessary to use the Romeo mod, with those new lasers ?

    Thanks a lot for answering.

I ordered 5pcs 400W lasers and the first one failed after two hours but the other four work very well in a v9 and V10 with romeo mod.
The lasers placed in a V10 are running now in a gamecafe for a month and sofar all work fine.
When the lasers arrived I measured the pot setting wich was arround 1250 Ohm and give a (to)? strong laser beam, and turned it back to 2500 Ohm.
The pot setting on the first laser that I tested wich failed after two hours running a demo dvd was not changed by me.

The 400W did not work very well in a few V4 types.
