Are you using a 3rd party cable sometimes they show up green if the connector isn't all the way in the ps2 "cheapass plastic and loosely fitting connector mold", I to have readjust mine every so often. This is the one I have http://www.game.co.uk/PS2/Hardware/A...o-Phono/?s=rgb

If your PS2 is connected to the TV via component cables, you need to make sure in the PS2 BIOS, "System Configuration" has the "Component Video Out" option set to the right color mode. (see pic below)
Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr is what most TVs will need to be set to. Only certain older or higher end TVs would even support the RGB color mode.
If that isn't your problem than please provide how your TV is connected, TV region, NTSC, PAL, or Multi-region, so we can help you better.

So progressive scan TV's don't support RGB mode since when? I thought it was just the same as using composite on a RGB TV your saying newer TV's don't take on board the old signals as well.
It also goes green if it's set to "Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr" when using a RGB scart cable.

Thank you guys for the support but any idea what is the problem of my PS2?

So did you end up trying the Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr mode for component out?
Are you using scart, or component cables?

@kevstah2004- Where I live most TVs are locked to only accepting the color signal associated to the input type. Scart doesn't exist here so no TV needs an RGB input unless it supports VGA, which is only gonna work with progressive signals, and is limited to only certain games.

    yes, but still the same...

Are you using scart, or component cables?

    no.

ok this is what happened i purchsed this console last 2005 (it's second hand from japan) and it works fine and im using original video and audio cable(white, red, yellow). but last week when i play some games it sudden become flickering to blury/greenes then back to normal color and then it back again to blury/greenes color and it never back again to normal color.

    Thanks again urbigbro..

    best regards
