Hi there.. been using this frankenstain v10 console (its made of parts of 5 or more ps2 hehe) for like two years or so.
Took it to the beach... worked fine for like 3 days. Then I changed the settings on Matrix Infinity modchip then it doesn't booted anymore.
Then tried to boot it again, got a red screen while loading my hdd menu (i'm booting to dev2)
Reset... hdd led didn't showed up.
    Reset... nothing
Reset... managed to disable the modchip, then black screen.
Took the hdd out.. it booted to the bootbrowser.
Put the hdd back in, it booted the menu, loaded sms... then tried to run a movie. Crashed with blocks in the screen. I gave up.
Now I'm back to my city, took the modchip out and resoldered the fuse bridges (the ones know to blow up in v10 - 2 or 3 of them). Now it always boot the bootbrowser. I tried FCMB and it worked too.. but then, I tried to run a dvd video, and it worked till I get the message "Play >" but then, black screen...

Any ideas, hints or whatever? - I didn't tried using a ps2 game disc coz all my originals are packed only god knows where with all my dc and psx discs

Also, the edge of the ribbon cable that conects the drive motor is also a bit screwed, so I cut a little bit of it to make the contats all good.

    Thanks in advance

    Problem solved

It was the fuse bridge... managed to replace one with another bad one... that's what you get when you deal with used parts. Welcome to Brasil!

Thanks for all that stomped in this post.
