Are you sure? Cuz I got the version 14 (SCPH-75001). Motherboard # GH-040-52. According to the diagram it appears that they do support my version. I actually took everything out and resolder it just to make sure it's done right, still no luck. I tested every points, I get a voltage at every contact point.

V14 requires a diferent program inside the Actel chip. That's why only a green dot infinity will work with it. If your MI chip is older, Firmware update will not help at all.

I really hope what you're saying is true. And I wish I knew this sooner. I guess my problem is resolved for now until I get a newer chip. By the way, where do they sell the green dotted chip? Which DMS chip that is comparable to the MI or the one that works with v14 ps2? Thanks for the help, very much appreciated.

I have a v7 PS2, and I am getting a black screen when I boot up. There is s small flicker of white when it starts, followed by a blank signal that nothing seems to happen on. The lights and controllers, fan, a disc drive seem to all be functional as normal except there is no output, video or audio. I had a professional solder this, so does anyone have any suggestions?

how much resistance is OK between two adjacent legs on the bios? im having no video problems and I think i might have some bridge that while it doesnt set off my multimeters audible diode alarm still manages to break my ps2. on some of the bios pins there is a 2k-10k resistance. i cant see any visible solder

I recently chipped my version 3 PS2. I have the same black screen however I do not seem to be getting any voltage to the chip (3.3V). All my soldering connections are perfect, if I remove the the chip my PS2 works fine. I installed a matrix infinity chip. Have any of you any ideas as to where else on the baord I can obtain voltage from?

Shortly after my last post here, I was in a near-fatal car accident and was rendered pretty much useless for a couple of months. During that time, I'd forgotten all about ps2 modding (to say the least).

In any case, I dug the console and my tools out the other day and tried resoldering all of the points. For some reason, alternate points B, I, H, and G just won't take the wire. The other BIHG points are close enough to each other to make me nervous (upper left in attached image). Any tips on good wiring to either set of points?
