    I have sound but no video. When I observe the disc spin (shield and power board assembled onto mainboard and drive) I see the disc start to spin for a second then it stops quickly. This stops much more quickly than when the lens is weak. I'm hesitating to replace ps9 until I'm more sure it won't blow again. I checked all points for shorts and connectivity. Any ideas?
    Interesting - This is a 50001 date code 3d. One website says its a v10, but it sure looks like a v9 to me.

    I found point Z is shorted to ground when the nearest ribbon cable is connected. I tried a different v9 drive and got the same results. I get high resistance with that ribbon cable removed.
