    Hi guys,

I recently modded my v7 with a Matrix Infinity - the reason I'm putting this here instead of the infinity forum is that the mod chip doesn't seem relevant. After much trial and tribulation, I got it in and set everything up, and it still read regular discs but not backup discs. Then I opened it up again and checked my wiring, and fixed a dud connection. I went through this once or twice, and found that my v7 after a few pull-aparts refused to spin up, so I replaced the ribbon cable that connects the laser to the motherboard. It now spins up, but it just keeps spinning (with even originals) after it reaches the menu screen.

    Any ideas?

    Allan.

Are you saying you removed the chip and you still have the same symptons? If its still in there remove it and see if you have the same problem.

Yep, I tried that, and I also tried turning off the matrix through the controller command. It doesn't seem to be related to the chip at all.
