v7 ps2 no video, no mod, weird....

K so i got this v7 ps2 where the guy said the dvd was busted.... I took it all apart and noticed the tray was whacked.... (It was busted, he was probably trying to do a knife swap trick)

But i had the whole thing in pieces and plugged in and powered on while i was messing with it (so no heatsink or fan on) when i was messing with the DVD tray, pots etc...

(Fast forward 5 mins or so)

Now the console powers on goes green, but the eject light does not blink when i press it, also I get no video...

Did the console die because it overheated?
What fuses should i check if any?

I think its dumb i killed a console this way... nothing fancy like installing a cool mod, just having it plugged in and powered on with no heat sinks killed it?

    Any help? or suggestions?

Check some flatcables and shorcuts like if the metal parts have bended little so they touch the motherboard etc. and blow the dust off.

I have killed a few mobos by not grounding myself before i touched them. It is possible you shocked it. I have also killed a mobo and processor by forgetting to put the fan back on for a similar amount of time. PS2s with broken drives are so easy and cheap to get now I would just put it in a box for parts and get another.
