After installing a Matrix Infinity into a version 7 PS2, there was a little snafu with the plugin for the ribbon cable for the contoller ports. That little brown "hinge" broke off. I've managed to get the thing to stay good and tight with some hot glue but the problem is that now only controller port 1 works. If I plug a controller into port 2 the little red light for the analog sticks will come off and on as I push the button but the controller isn't picked up by any games.

I've checked the little brown "hinge" 2 times now and there isn't and thing visually wrong with the pins inside... like glue or something. I've also swapped ribbon cables for the contoller port as well as the port itself.

Could the problem be related to a solder splash somewhere or an otherwise improper modchip install?
