I've followed this guide (ttp://arstechnica.com/articles/paedia/hardware/ps2.ars) to fix a broken PS2 my brother gave me. I've followed everything as it says, and I've turned the little wheel 1 knotch at a time, trying each type of cd/dvd. I can't seem to get all types of media to work on the same setting. For example, if I get DVD movies working, nothing else works. If I get PSone games working, nothing else works. And PS2 games don't work at all. Is this a symptom of a bad or dirty laser? Or do I need to do this "Tangential Skew" adjusting? I am really trying to get this PS2 working in time for christmas to give to someone. Help is appreciated. Thanks.
