i have a v12 slim ps2 that will not spin the disc. i have replaced the whole laser assembly as well as replacing the one bad fuse (ps7). all other fuses check out. the laser moves and blinks once. i'm not sure where to go from here. i checked the 303 resistors and they are registering 19.5k. i thought that was kinda weird. Another weird thing is that controller port 1 doesnt function but two does.

    can anyone help?

by the way, no modchip installed. i tried the neo fix xiv but it didnt help. after installing it kept turning itself off and i know i had it installed correctly.

    the 303's should measure 30k - i'd replace them.

Failing that if the fuses are good) and the resistors are good (i'd still replace them even if they measure fine) then it could be a blown rs2004

Check the little switch on the board so the lid close it.Not the one on the powerswitch. But the one behind the laserunit.

Yeah the lid switches do fail a lot....
But sometimes the case of the PS2 do bend with heat if the owner leaves in the car or close to a window which can let the PS2 receive direct sunlight.

So check if the disc cover is bent too...

Did you desolder the solder-bridge on the new laser?
Sometimes the fuses seems to be ok until you put power on and the measure them.
