Hello, liek the title says, I have a PSTwo V12 with a Modbo 760 1.93 fitted in along with a home made version of the Subzero fix.

The PS2 can boot every CD-R and pressed CDs (PSX games, PS2 games, PS2 homebrews, music CD) but will refuse to boot every DVD I throw it. That include Orignal PS2 DVD games, Back-up PS2 DVD, pressed movie DVD, DVD-R movies.

Basically, playing CD works but not DVD. Even with the Modbo diasbled and with and without using FCMB it's still doing the same thing. When the console try to read a DVD the laser will come close to the spindle, the laser lens will go up and done 3 or 4 times and then the laser head will move back a forth a few times but only by about half a centimeter. Then after it did this cycle a few times it will throw me an error screen.

I tried replacing the laser unit with a freshly bought one and it's still doing the same thing.

Whats wrong? Any of you guys ever encoutered this problem?

By the way, is there a way for me to update my Modbo to 1.99? Is it worth it?
