  1. #1 v12 laser busted? still works when cold?
    TroyBagnell Guest
bought a brand new v12 a year ago, had it modded by modchipman.com. has been working decent for the past year, but lately it will only boot up when the system itself is extremely cold. when it is, all games boot and play flawlessly. but after 30 minutes of play the system crashes.

any idea why this happens? I assumed it was the laser. but why would it work when it's cold? someone recommended just getting a new system but I'm not quite ready to do that yet.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

yeah the fan is working on the back. I would assume it was overheating as well, but it doesn't even get very hot before it stops working.

anyways, I just went ahead and replaced the laser. it works great now. I couldn't wait, I wanted to play dirge of cerberus lol.
