ok i uninstalled a laser fix
now the disc wont spin and the laser wont even shine
just checked the fuses all are ok., checked the resistors and they all seem fine.
could it be the RS2400FS? how do i test this chip?
any other ideas?
Thx

wot hapnes if u put the laser fix back on. im trill trying to get my v12 laser working since about a year ago lol. my laser turns on but it dosnt move at all wherever i place it and the disk never spins at all.
ps: if the laser fix u had required a track cut did you uncut it
idk i havent put the fix back on, as it wasnt workin with it on, it did for a lil bit then stopped so i removed eveything, and no track cutting.

i have asked that question loads of times and from my experiance the answer is there is no test
When i worked on the early pswtwo's i found that the resistors that are on the main board can be very sensitive to heat (from the soldering) and even thou they show their values fine when testing them they may not be touching the main baord properly so i had to remove them and replace them with new resitors, standard non surface mount ones work fine. and only then my laser would start working properly again.
