First of all congratulations that you have successfully finished your project. I think it is really very interesting and innovative. If possible I will also try for this. Thank you very much for sharing this idea with us. You have done a great job and keep doing good work like this.
As i mentioned, i removed the 2xSwitch, so the only switch which
might be needed for the 2xHDD version is the 6xSwitch.
It is also recommended to connect the two USB to S-ATA converters also to
ground. I connected the shield from the input connector to GND (see the picture below).
The "How to Connect.doc" file is also updated.
Please use the updated version, you can find it in the attachments before!
P.s.:Be carefull not to give your HDD's to much preassure (i killed one of mine).
Try to lay the cables around the HDD's and not over it, that way everything will fit.
A cheap way to use an old V3 PS2 with a dead laser
About the 2xHDD Mode,
i've got a new external 1 TB 2,5" HDD yesterday and wanted to build it in into one of my modded PS2's, but unfortunately,
the HDD from the external housing was a little bit bigger than the ones i used before for the mode.
In my Intenso housing was a Toshiba HDD with about 12,6mm of thickness.
The ones i used before had only 9,5mm and even this fits very tight, so the
1 TB HDD's are still to fat for the mode.
But the 640GB drives will fitt, they also have 9,5mm.
