Swap magic 3.6 worked only two weeks, now I can't play DVDs

I bought an Swap Magic 3.6 + PnP Key, it worked for 2 weeks but now it doens't reads DVDs anymore, my question is if I buy a new lens it will be burned in two weeks like it happened with my original one or it will not be burned?

I have a PS2 V4 no GAP.

I also have heard that changing the lens with a more reliable one (KHS-400C) will be a good choise but I would like to know what do I need to change this.

duno if this can couse your problem but a lot of people soz the PnP key (no solder modchip) is increadably unreliable and can dameage the drive
