Soldering question for dsm4 pro
Soldering question for dsm4 pro –
I have a version 2 PS2 and i have been soldering my dsm4 pro on and now that i am finished all that happens when i turn on my ps2 is that it sporatically opens and shuts the dvd drive. I have tried to re-solder the c wire which i read was related to the eject function but after re-soldering it several times i still have the same results. any ideas? I am kind of scared i may have ruined my ps2 since even removing the wire completely has the same result.
you have a solder short somewhere or a wire in the wrong place.
All the wires are in the right place but i think i may have shorted out the points located right next to the joint for the c wire. If i shorted them out how can i fix it? I dripped solder on them at one point and removed it completely and ever since then it has had this problem. I was wondering if i may have removed the solder that sony already had on these. But all attempts to drip a little bit on each point where i may have taken some away have not resolved the issue. Do you think i have ruined my ps2 or is it fixable by someone who knows what they are doing?
