that is not an opinion bro...that what you say is prophecy in the electronics bible....a good tip does always get the job done...a bad tip embarasses the user and make them look like rookies

If you say so...cause even though i'm in this field for over 16 years....I still have my soldering iron tip going on to 10 years now and is in pristine condition, and it solders everything from consoles all the way to LCD and ECU's in cars.

dang it dude. you've "mis-interpreted my last two posts" in this and in another forum. any seasoned guy with soldering skills would know how to preserve his darn needle tip by tinting.

i wasn't implying that you're a noob but rather that noobs will and can ruin either a cheap or so called "top notch" soldering iron if "he/she" lacks the skills that of course, a seasoned guy would already know.

and i'd bet you, that a seasoned guy would make his cheap $10.99 soldering iron that he bought at radio shack, last longer than a noob, period.

    Part number : GOOT CS-30 25W
Beware, there are some similar clones with a comparatively low performance

.... I used the Radio Shack Iron also, They have one with a pencil tip now, made for electronics... They didn't when i chipped my first fatty PS2 a few years back, and that didn't always work out so well, LOL... This one made the job much more convenient.. Its very self rewarding when you take on projects like we all have and put in that Copied game for the first time, hoping that its gonna skip that ugly red screen of No Fun Allowed... If it wasn't for places like this forum, i would be at half the skill level i am at now in all aspects of modifying anything... Much Props to ALL ! ! !
