my ps2 stopped recognising the broadband adapter/hdd recently...
the hdd doesn't show up (or more precisely, shows up empty) on ULE and my hdloader gives me an "hardware error" message!

also i noticed the hdd not even getting "powered up" when booting the ps2...

it's probably not the fault of a damaged broadband-adaptor/hdd, because i tried them on another ps2 and they still work!

does anyone have an idea what the problem might be and/or if there's a chance to fix it?!

(sorry for my sloppy english and my ignorance of the ps2s inner workings )

I'm having the same problem. Does anyone know how I could fix this?
The HDD is recognized perfectly on my PC and I can copy games from it, but the PS2 can't see it. I've tried a brand new network adaptor and booting HDLoader from a different Memory Card and from the disk, but it wont work.

    Please help!

there are fuses on the mainbord for the hdd
ps9 =(5volt for the hdd) and ps10 =(12 volt for the hdd)

check those and you probably solve the problem,

too bad i don't even know how a fuse should look like or where to find it...

i guess i'll have to google for some pics ^^
    thx for your advice!
(at least it gave me enough courage to open up the console and realize i know nothing about fuses )

should i look for something like that?

and can i open up another ps2 and exchange the fuse to see if that works?
