Every time I turn on the Ps2,I have to push down on the side of the PS2 to get the disk spining.I also notice that the flip top that I put on the Ps2 isn't on there firmly(only in the front). What did I do wrong when I installed the flip top top the PS2?

take the top cover off again & check the power switch pcb is located properly
if its not,the pin on the lid will not make proper contact with the microswitch when lid is closed hence the reason u have to press down in that corner. also check that u have'nt broken the small plastic pin on the lid.
