Sometimes when I play Fifa Street 2 (backup), it will hang after a game, sometimes when I power down the ps2, the laser head doesnt goes back to the standby position.
I heard somewhere it says that using lens fix on a v13 pstwo might cause DVD reading problem. Thats why I need to make sure.

so the simplest answer to this prob is that you try running your ps2 after removing the chip... if the problem persists then you might wanna check the laser... otherwise if its ok after removing the chip then let it flow...
But have you donw any soldering ever on a ps2 in teh past? be careful while removing it or get it done by a professional..

I only knew my mainboard version is GH-035-24, but I googling around I cant find anything about this version. I think the aladdin lens fix will influence the stability of ps2...
I not a pro solderer... but i would like to try it out, learn something...

Do my GH-035-24 is a v13 board? if yes, then i can take off the aladdin lens fix, v13 board doesnt need that.... but i knew that v12 got other variation like v12.1, v12.2...
